A wire saw is a saw machine suitable for sawing in extreme depths. Where a wall saw does not reach far enough, the cable of a wire saw can cut large cross-sections effortlessly and accurately. A wire saw is mainly used for sawing and demolition work and is needed when you want to cut deeper than 101 cm or in hard-to-reach places.

Wire saws - also known as wire saws - use a steel wire fitted with small diamond rings which is referred to as diamond cable. Wire saws are suitable for cutting structures or objects that are extremely thick or have an irregular shape. Due to the flexible nature of the diamond cable, it can be guided anywhere and around with the help of guided wheels - also known as satellite pulleys. Wire sawing machines are therefore used for reinforced concrete constructions, but also for installations or components made of steel, brass and aluminium. Electric, Pentruder

The electric machine of the Pentruder brand – model 3P8 and is equipped with a 22 kW high-frequency electric drive motor. The machine has a modular construction and can therefore be set up and used at almost any location. By using a special cable tensioning, the 3P8 delivers a very high torque and can therefore even start on a concrete construction with 3 sharp corners. The tension of the diamond cable is automatically and electronically controlled in relation to the power consumption of the drive motor, the sawing process is therefore fast and efficient.

The Pentruder 3P8 wire sawing machine can use components from the Pentruder 8-20IQ and CBK wall sawing machines – this includes the High Frequency motor, Pentpak control box, remote control and cable sets. If you already have a Pentruder wall saw in use, it is advantageous to consider purchasing a 3P8 conversion - wire saw set!

Hydraulic, Cedima

An electric machine is not suitable for wire sawing work in or underwater and Adamas has a hydraulic wire sawing machine from the brand Cedima available for this application.
 
By using hydraulic motors to drive the diamond cable and to regulate the cable tension, this machine is insensitive to the effects of water. The hydraulic motors are driven by a Powerpack with an electric motor and this is always set up above water / on the side. The wire sawing machine is operated and adjusted from the Powerpack.

Wire saw for concrete

With a wire saw you can remove concrete structures or make holes in thick walls. Wire saws are very flexible in terms of cutting depth and thickness, making them suitable for large projects such as cutting plinths, bridges, foundations and large concrete blocks. This is done with a special wire saw, also known as a diamond cable or band saw. The diamond cable is pulled around and cuts through the concrete or other hard material. And all this is vibration-free and low-noise. The type of cable, diamond bond and number of beads per meter determine whether the wire saw is suitable for cutting through concrete or steel and how fast it cuts.
